Bright School is a premier college-preparatory and athletic development institution dedicated to building the next generation of leaders, scholars, and elite student-athletes founded by former professional basketball player Ta’Quan Zimmerman. As a proud partner school of Putnam Science Academy, Bright School provides a transformative environment where students are challenged to grow both intellectually and personally while competing at the highest levels of basketball.

Ta’Quan Zimmerman, a former professional basketball player, boasts an illustrious 8-year career spanning teams in the NBA with the Utah Jazz, as well as stints in China, Canada, and Mongolia. Prior to his professional tenure, he earned recognition as an alumni of Putnam Science Academy, where his athletic prowess led to his induction into

Prior to his professional tenure, he earned recognition as an alumni of Putnam Science Academy, where his athletic prowess led to his induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018. As the first Division 1 guard from Putnam Science Academy, he signed with Long Island University Brooklyn. He also achieved the distinction of holding the number one single-season scoring average at 27 points per game at Putnam Science Academy. Zimmerman’s commitment extends beyond the court, as evidenced by his significant involvement in community initiatives such as the “Be A Baller Not A Bully” campaign, which he spearheads through camps, clinics, and all-star games worldwide. He also serves as a partner of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, championing community causes. Zimmerman’s journey has shaped him into a resilient leader, drawing from a wealth of experiences, including mentorship from basketball legend Allan Houston of the New York Knicks. Embracing values of sacrifice, perseverance, and excellence, Zimmerman embodies the ethos we aim to impart to our youth at the Bright School.

- Domestic Students General Fees: $950.00 (includes uniforms, IT equipment/support, Chromebook and activity fee)
- International Students General Fees: $3,450.00 (includes: uniforms, IT equipment/support, Chromebook, activity fee, and mandatory health insurance)
- English as a Second Language (ESL): $1,200.00/semester
